Home demolition notice given to family of terrorist who killed 2 in Jerusalem attack

Abdel Rahman al-Shalodi of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, rammed his car into a group of people last month and killed a baby and an adult.

Security forces have ordered the demolition of the home of the terrorist who killed a three-month-old baby girl and an adult from Ecuador last month when he rammed his vehicle into a crowd of people in Jerusalem. 
Abdel Rahman al-Shalodi, a convicted Palestinian terrorist from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan was shot by police and died in hospital after the October attack that killed the baby Chaya Zissel Braun, as well as Karen Yemima Mosquera, a 22-year-old Ecuadorian. 
 
A demolition notice signed by the IDF Home Front Command was given to al-Shalodi's family who resides in east Jerusalem on Friday.
The attack, which was captured by a security camera, took place at the Ammunition Hill light-rail stop a few hundred meters from Israel’s national police headquarters, situated across a densely traveled thoroughfare.
 
At the beginning of the week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the advancement of plans to demolish the homes of Palestinian terrorists in hopes of deterring further terror attacks.
According to B’Tselem human rights organization, Israel demolished some 666 houses as punishment for terrorist attacks during the years of the second intifada, from 2001 until the practice was discontinued in February 2005. 
In June, following the kidnapping of the teenagers Naftali Fraenkel, Gil-Ad Shaer, and Eyal Yifrah Israel decided to renew the controversial policy.
