Nasrallah 'proud' that Netanyahu and Obama discussed Hezbollah in White House meeting

Hezbollah leader: Israel can take measures against resistance factions, but it cannot thwart individual attacks.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said in a speech on Wednesday he is proud that Hezbollah was a focus of Monday’s meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama at the White House.
Commenting on the meeting between the two leaders, Nasrallah said it demonstrates Washington’s commitment to “the Zionist entity’s” security, according to the text of the speech published on the group’s Al-Manar website.
Regarding Netanyahu’s remarks that he would discuss the Hezbollah threat with Obama, Nasrallah said: “We are proud that US and Israel consider Hezbollah a threat. When the Great Satan and its puppets say that Hezbollah poses a threat, then we are certain that we are in the right place.”
Nasrallah’s speech from the Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut marked the annual Martyr’s Day, which commemorates Ahmad Kassir, who carried out a suicide bombing in 1982 against Israeli headquarters in the southern Lebanon city of Tyre.
The Hezbollah leader claimed that all victories of the “resistance” are due to the “blessed blood of martyrs.”
“We thank our martyrs for all what they had done for our nation,” he said.
Nasrallah also referred to the current ongoing wave of terrorism against Israelis, praising the “resistance spirit” of the Palestinians against the “Israel enemy.”
“Israel can take measures against the resistance factions, but it cannot thwart the individual attacks,” he asserted.
“What we had seen in the previous days is a source of pride, when a courageous Palestinian woman stabbed an Israeli soldier as she knows well what a fate she would meet.”
Nasrallah warned that an Israeli attack against Lebanon is possible, but assessed that Israel would not venture to do so. He predicted, according to Al-Manar, that Israel would continue its “soft war” against Hezbollah in order to tarnish the terrorist group’s image.
