“I get Jewish people coming up to me proud like, ‘Mazel Tov, bro. Come to my house for Shabbat dinner,’” says Canadian Jewish rapper.

Drake’s a busy guy. In addition to releasing a new song and organizing an impressive rap festival in Toronto, our favorite Grammy-winning Canadian Jewish rapper is also currently on the cover of XXL magazine’s 150th and 16th anniversary issue.
In the accompanying Q&A, the Canadian Jew opened up about everything from his new album to the Amanda Bynes situation. Our favorite, though, was what he had to say about his success. “I get Jewish people coming up to me proud like, ‘Mazel Tov, bro. Come to my house for Shabbat dinner.’”
No word on whether the former Degrassi star has accepted any offers.
His new album doesn’t come out until Sept. 17, but Drake has released another teaser in the form of a new track. It’s called “Hold On We’re Going Home,” and it has a more mellow, disco-type feel than his usual raps.
It’s been a big week for Drake, who also brought some major stars over to Toronto for the fourth annual OVO (October’s Very Own) Festival. The show included performances by Miguel, Lil Wayne and, best of all, Kanye West.
