Haaretz had quite the “wrapped up like a douche” moment this week. Reporting on Rihanna’s Tel Aviv concert, the Israeli daily claimed that while belting out her hit song “Pour It Up,” the pop star subbed out the line “All I see is signs / All I see is dollar signs” for “All I see is Palestine.”
Jerusalem Post reporter Lahav Harkov was the first to point out Haaretz's FML moment, when she tweeted the following after reading the report:

When backlash to her tweet commenced, claiming Rihanna did indeed say "Palestine" in one of her songs, Harkov tweeted back:

The newspaper retracted the front-page story Thursday after concert-goers disputed the report and video surfaced showing that it was wrong, but not before the rumor spread.
Harkov was pleased to learn that the story was eventually retracted from Haaretz:
"@haaretzcom finally admitted to its #fail, retracted the @rihanna Palestine lie."
