Members of the Philadelphia 76ers professional basketball team received a pleasant surprise at practice this week when a surprise guest walked into the gym and immediately turned heads.
Yityish “Titi” Aynaw, who made history last year as the first-ever Ethiopian-born Miss Israel, visited the 76ers during practice earlier this week. She posed for photographs with the players, and even tried her hand at dribbling and shooting.
Aynaw told NBA TV that she was a fan of Israeli and American professional basketball and that she had even played in high school.
“This is it,” she said. “I want to go to play with the guys. I think it’s very cool.”
Aynaw’s endearing smile, charm, and good looks seemed to make a good impression on the players, who made her feel at home.
Since winning the national beauty pageant last year, Aynaw has enjoyed the perks of fame, rubbing shoulders with the most powerful and influential people in the world.
