An Example Of "Chutzpah" – Or Just Of Our Capacity For Self-Delusion?

Welcome to my sixth Jerusalem Post blog...
As you may be aware by now, my site, The-Gift-Tree.com, is a storytelling site in which, through our stories, we try to help people bring their ideas to life. There is a good-news-bad-news component to this: The good news is that people seem to like our stories, the bad news is that we somehow have to bring order to the chaos of the different stories we are telling.
What we decided to do was to create different "Series" into which could pop our different blogs. So, for example, we created a "Leadership Series," an "Ethics Series," and so on... Then we hit a problem: Where would we put our blogs that didn't fall neatly into the other Series? Our solution was to create a catch-all Series that we called the "Educated Mind Series"...
This was akin to where I would file my legal stuff when I didn't know where to put 'em. The initial home for this stuff was always on the floor in the corner of my office. I'm sure you've never done that, but I always have–and still do!
Anyway, my latest blog, "Our Extraordinary Capacity For Self-Delusion," seems to fit perfectly into this new catchall category...
Our incredible capacity for self-delusion...
The story I tell here is absolutely true... You can check it out...
The story also struck me, though, as being not just about self-delusion, but also about the chutzpah of our leaders who seem to think that we can't see through their nonsense...
Anyway, please enjoy this latest blog!
Michael
