2 Arabs stabbed in street fight outside Old City

A dispute between two east Jerusalem Arab families resulted in bloodshed outside of the Old City early Monday morning when two men from opposing sides sustained knife wounds during a violent street fight.
While the background of the dispute remains unclear, according to police one 25-year-old man was seriously injured during the confrontation upon being stabbed in the upper torso, while the other unidentified suspect sustained a moderate wound to his hand.
“The background of the case is criminal and police are presently investigating the circumstances,” a police spokesman said Monday. Both suspects were transferred by Magen David Adom paramedics to Sha’are Zedek Hospital, police said.
