6.1 quake strikes off east coast of Taiwan

LONDON - A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the east coast of Taiwan early on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said.

It said the quake struck 32 miles east of the town of Su-ao at a depth of 44 miles.
