Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on the the international community to protect Palestinians and to put an end to the "bloodshed," in Doha, where he met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.
"The U.N. Security Council's failure to take a decision to stop the aggression and massacres on our Palestinian people, doesn't free it from its responsibilities according to international law," he said in Qatar.
"Therefore I call on the council to hold another emergency meeting today to fulfill its duties towards protecting Palestinians."
