Senior PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo said Thursday that there are "ideas" to arrange a meeting between Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, but Israel is not providing the political or practical framework for such a meeting to occur, the Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency reported.
Ma'an quoted Abed Rabbo as saying there is constant contact between the sides aimed at creating the proper atmosphere and ease tensions to facilitate such talks, but that he feared the efforts would fail and not succeed in advancing the peace process.
