Former IDF chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi on Sunday stated that Israel must not allow the Iranian regime to achieve nuclear capabilities.
Speaking at the Jerusalem Post Conference in New York, Ashkenazi said: "I think that the preferred strategy should be to do things below the radar in order to slow their advance, and to increase the sanctions (against Iran)."
"We need crippling sanctions," he said, "much more sever sanctions." Ashkenazi added that a credible military option must remain on the table.Watch the Jerusalem Post Conference live here
