Authorities announce traffic closures for Sharon funeral

Following the arrival of US Vice President Joe Biden for Ariel Sharon’s funeral on Monday, traffic will intermittently be blocked on Route 1 from Ben-Gurion Airport to Jerusalem.

Additionally, traffic policemen will escort the coffin of the former prime minister with 11 motorcycles and four police cars from the Knesset at11:15 to the funeral, which is to take place at the Sycamore Ranch at 14:00.

Traffic along the routes of the convoy will be intermittently blocked at Sakharov junction, Route 1 west, Latrun junction, Route 3 west, Sorek junction, Route 6 south, Route 40 south, Beit Kama junction, Route 293 west, Sde Zvi junction, Route 334, and from there to Sycamore Ranch.
