Birzeit University announced the end of the student strike and resumption of the second summer term after reaching an agreement with the student council on Saturday, according to Ma'an News Agency.
A statement by BZU said that after talks between its board and the students, the parties agreed to start a dialogue to reach results that would be fair to students who cannot afford high tuition fees to allow them to continue their education.
BZU’s board said it will take into consideration the economic conditions of the new students and offer financial support through loans and scholarships starting from next semester.
