Bribery charges against Bat Yam mayor dropped in plea bargain

Bat Yam Mayor Shlomi Lahiani and the prosecution reached a deal on Thursday in which bribery offenses will be removed from the indictment and Lahiani will plead breach of public trust, reported Israel Radio.
The prosecution will seek a sentence of one year for Lahiani, while he will ask for community service.
Lahiani was indicted on charges of bribery, fraud, breach of public trust and perjury in October 2013.
