Court releases 85 arrested protesters conditionally

The Tel Aviv magistrates court on Sunday conditionally released the 85 social protesters arrested for violence during demonstrations late Saturday night.

Judge Tzachi Uzieli said that the charges against the protesters did not paint the picture of dangerous youth, noting that each of the protesters were young and without prior criminal background.

Police had hoped to extend the detentions until the end of the proceedings.
