Dan bus strike set for Monday as Histadrut negotiations falter

The Histadrut Labor Federation on Thursday announced a Monday bus strike as negotiations with the Dan bus company fell apart.

According to the Histadrut, Dan had backtracked on early commitments that would harm the salaries of 400 drivers.
"If Dan't management doesn't return and honor the agreements we will be forced to open a strike starting this Monday in the  Dan Company's public transportation," said Histadrut Transport Union Chairman Avi Edri. "I call on the management to take responsibility and avoid harming passengers."
The Dan company did not reply to inquiries from The Jerusalem Post on the matter.
A threatened bus strike a week earlier had been cancelled after negotiations resumed. At that point, the Histadrut had expressed ire over an offer it said would see 300 drivers and employees lose NIS 1,000 from their monthly salaries.
