Elkin: Leaving Jews under Palestinian control is crossing a red line

Deputy Foreign Minister Ze'ev Elkin reacted on Monday  to the prime minister's reported stance on the current peace process, stating that leaving Jews under a Palestinian government is crossing a red line.
Elkin told Army Radio that, "There are things that go against the character of Zionism. It is wrong to say these things even if only to expose Palestinian reluctance to compromise."
Elkin added that, "Hundreds of thousands of Jewish citizens would be placed under the same government authority responsible for the lynching in Ramallah," noting the risks which even a single Jew faces in a Palestinian city.
