“Palestinians will be the only losers and they will start from zero," a member of the Fatah central committee said on Thursday.
Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah central committee, told Palestinian news agency Ma'an that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's appointment of Tzipi Livni is considered against the Palestinian position.
"Our message is clear regarding negotiations and we are committed to freezing settlements and and resolving the detainees issue," Abbas stated in an interview with Ma'an, saying that Livni was experienced in "cheating and disinformation."
"Our needs are obvious," Zaki told Ma'an. “If Livni will negotiate on the basis that the Palestinian state is based on the 1967 borders then we will be back to real negotiations.”
