Golan Druse questioned for support of Hezbollah

Nine Druse residents of the Golan Heights were taken for questioning by detectives from the Northern District of the Israel Police this week, on suspicion of “showing solidarity” with the Lebanese Shi’ite terrorist group Hezbollah.
The nine men, all in their 20s, flew Hezbollah flags at a number of public events in their villages in recent months, police said.
They were questioned and released.
Very few of the 20,000 Druse in their four villages on the Golan Heights have accepted Israeli citizenship, as most identify as Syrian.
