IDF soldier killed by Kassam rocket which exploded near Gaza border

The Israel Defense Forces announced on Sunday that a soldier was killed after he was struck by a Kassam rocket fired by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The dead soldier has been identified as Chief Sgt. Barak Refael Degorker, a 27-year-old from the town of Gan Yavne. Degorker is the 43rd soldier to die in Operation Protective Edge.
