Indyk returning to region to facilitate talks to extend Israeli-Palestinian peace process

The American envoy to the Middle East peace process Martin Indyk left the United States on Wednesday to return to the region with his team and try to reach a deal to extend talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

"What we’re focused on is facilitating between the two parties to see if they can make the tough decisions to extend the negotiations," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a press briefing.
