Interim Syrian opposition prime minister resigns

The interim prime minister of the Syrian opposition, Ghassan Hitto, resigned on Monday, citing inability to form an interim government, AFP reported.
Hitto, who was appointed to head the Syrian National Coalition nearly four months ago, said in an online statement that while he is resigning from the post of prime minister, he will "continue working for the interests of the revolution and towards achieving its objectives."
