DUBAI - Iranian officials will meet US and European Union counterparts in Geneva on Monday, state media said, in Iran's first word about talks expected to try to break a logjam in wider negotiations over Tehran's nuclear program.

"The meeting tomorrow with the Americans will be trilateral and Helga Schmidt, the deputy of EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, will be present as well," Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told state-run Iranian television in remarks broadcast on Sunday.
