Israeli rocker Rami Fortis to open for the Rolling Stones in Tel Aviv

Veteran rocker Rami Fortis has been selected for the coveted spot of opening up The Rolling Stones show on June 4 at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv.

“To say that this is exciting is an understatement,” the colorful Fortis said in a statement issued by promoter Shuki Weiss. “I play it cool, but I’m trembling. I’m around their age and this band has accompanied me my whole life. If someone had told me that I would be performing on the same stage as them, I would have thought it was a joke. But it shows that anything in life is possible.”

Tickets for the historic first performance by the Stones in Israel are still available.
