Israeli tennis star Sela advanced to second round of ATP Tour

In Israeli tennis news, Dudi Sela advanced to the second round of an ATP Tour tournament for the first time since February on Sunday, beating Benoit Paire 6-4, 7-6(2) in the opening round of the grass-court event in Den Bosch, Holland.
Sela, ranked No. 107 in the world, had suffered a first-round exit in his six previous ATP events, failing to progress into the second round since the tournament in Acapulco, Mexico, in late February.
The 29-year-old Israeli will next face the winner of Monday’s first round match between Marcel Granollers (30) and Benjamin Becker (79).
Also, Julia Glushko (82) reached the main draw of the women’s event in Den Bosch on Sunday, beating Arantxa Rus (153) 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 in the second and final round of the qualifiers. Glushko will play Annika Beck (53) of Germany in the first round on Monday.”
