Knesset panel holds hearing on Justice Ministry oversight body

The Knesset State Control Committee on Monday held a hearing on the status of the new Justice Ministry oversight body with Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein in attendance.

Responding to the hearing, representatives of the Justice Ministry's lawyers said they would not cooperate with the new oversight body as they had not been fully consulted on the body's formation.
