Lapid to reveal Yesh Atid's Knesset list Sunday night

Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid is set to reveal the best-kept secret in Israeli politics Monday night at an event at the College of Management in Rishon Lezion: His party’s list for the next Knesset.
Sources in Yesh Atid said he would finalize the list just ahead of the event after weeks of deliberations and meetings with the party’s MKs in the outgoing Knesset as well as new candidates.
So far, three Yesh Atid MKs have announced that they would not seek seats in the next Knesset: Adi Kol, Shimon Solomon, and Rina Frenkel. But two candidates have been added: Hatnua MK Elazar Stern and Eshkol Regional Council head Haim Yellin.
Yesh Atid has received anywhere from eight to 13 seats in recent polls, meaning that at least five current MKs would not enter the next Knesset. In order to maintain solidarity in the party’s ranks, Lapid decided to delay announcing his list until just ahead of Thursday’s deadline to submit it to the Central Elections Committee.
US-born MK Dov Lipman, who was placed 17th on the list last time, said he was not nervous about the fate of his political career being decided.
“I am excited about the unveiling of a spectacular list and getting into the heart of the campaign,” he said.
Besides presenting the candidates, who will come on stage, Lapid is set to unveil Yesh Atid’s campaign and its slogan at the event. He is expected to attack Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fiercely at the event.
