Livni calls for Centrist, Zionist national unity government

Tzipi Livni said Thursday she would work toward a national unity government, as a Smith Research poll conducted this week for The Jerusalem Post and the financial newspaper Globes showed her party falling to seven Knesset seats.
"We are currently in the midst of a state of emergency," she said, "and therefore I will work to create a national unity government that will be Centrist and Zionist in its orientation."
She continued: "We hear rumors of a third intifadah every day from security personnel, and Iran is continuing its drive for nuclear capability. Our massive budget deficit, which Netanyahu created, will fall on the shoulders of the public."
