The Ministerial Committee for Legislation postponed a vote on blocking tax breaks for NGOs that reject Israeli as a Jewish and democratic state, which was scheduled for Sunday.
The vote was postponed after Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein pointed to constitutional problems with the proposal.
The bill by MK Miri Regev (Likud Beytenu) is one in a series of legislation proposed in recent years by Likud Beytenu legislators attempting to block activities by NGOs.
