Netanyahu slams 'hypocritical' UN for criticism of IDF actions in Gaza

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the United Nations on Thursday of “hypocrisy” for “preaching morality to Israel” while “granting immunity to a terror organization like Hamas after it was proven beyond all doubt that it committed war crimes.”
The premier issued a statement in reaction to criticism against Israel voiced by the UN secretary-general, Ban Ki-moon, who said that Israeli military operations had caused suffering to children in the Gaza Strip.
Ban made the comments came during a UN Security Council debate to discuss the latest United Nations report on children and armed conflict.
"I am also deeply alarmed at the suffering of so many children as a result of Israeli military operations in Gaza last year," the UN chief said in reference to last summer's Operation Protective Edge.
