Obama, Jordan's King Abdullah discuss Syria conflict

US President Barack Obama spoke on the phone with Jordan's King Abdullah II on Wednesday, discussing the conflict in Syria and its impact on the Hashemite kingdom and the region.

"The two leaders reaffirmed their strong commitment to continued close cooperation between our governments to advance shared goals," said a statement from the White House.
