Officers given 30 months for leaving man to die on roadside

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Monday sentenced two police officers to two-and-a-half years in prison after they were convicted of leaving a Palestinian man to die on the side of the road.
In May, the court convicted Baruch Peretz and Assaf Yakutieli of negligent homicide for abandoning an injured Palestinian man on the side of the road to die.
Jariban had been seriously injured in a car accident on May 28, 2008 while driving a stolen car and had been in Israel illegally.
