Some 1,500 people took to the street in the western Galilee village of Kanna on Saturday protesting against the IDF's operation in Gaza.

The demonstrations were initiated by the Islamic Movement in Israel and drew participants from the movement's norther faction, Israel Radio reported.

Security units were stationed outside the village and were not intervening at the moment.
