Rouhani: UN nuclear watchdog probes find no nuclear weaponization

Iranian President Hassan Rouani downplayed Sunday Western allegations that Tehran was seeking nuclear weapons, saying inspections by the UN nuclear watchdog have so far concluded that the country's atomic program was for peaceful purposes.
“All of them (Western powers) knew that the nuclear science in this country is on the peaceful path and they had no doubt about it," Iran's official Press TV quoted Rouhani as saying.
According to Rouhani, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had conducted "thousands of hours of inspections" at Iran's nuclear sites.
