Senior Hamas leader calls for more soldier kidnapping

A senior Hamas leader Sunday called for the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers at a rally in protest of the death of Arafat Jaradat, a Palestinian prisoner under Israeli custody, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.
Salah al-Bardwil urged resistors to capture IDF soldiers, since the abduction of Gilad Schalit led to a prisoner exchange, and the release of over 1,000 Palestinians in 2011.
Some prisoners that were released during the Schalit deal, have since been recaptured, and four of them have been on a hunger strike for more than 200 days.
"A new Palestinian Intifada is about to break out in support of prisoners," Ma'an cited al-Bardwil as saying.
