A shooting at a high school in northern Oregon near Portland on Tuesday left one student and the gunman dead, the local police chief said.
Police said the gunman walked into Reynolds High School in Troutdale and shot and killed one student. The gunman was found dead a short time later in the school, the chief said.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Department said in a Twitter message that the shooter was dead and that the situation had been stabilized, but it gave no further details.
