A 43-year-old man was stabbed Sunday morning in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem, Magen David Adom has confirmed.
Paramedics treated the man on the scene for wounds to his upper body and transferred him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he was reported in critical condition.
Police are searching for the terrorist who fled the scene.
"I saw a man of about 50 sitting on the fence, vaguely conscious," a senior MDA medic who was at the scene said. "He had a number of stab wounds in his upper body. I gave him life-saving medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding. We... quickly evacuated him to the hospital."
Police are investigating the attack.
