The State Department denied on Monday a reported meeting set for Wednesday in London between US Secretary of State John Kerry and PA President Mahmoud Abbas, calling such reports false.

"There is no meeting planned," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters.

Earlier on Monday, AFP cited a Palestinian official as saying Abbas would discuss the state of the failed Israeli-Palestinian peace talks with Kerry in a final attempt to salvage the situation.
