Syrian refugees leave Lebanon for temporary resettlement in Germany
More than 100 Syrian refugee families left Lebanon on Tuesday, to be temporarily resettled in Germany after they fled violence in their home country.
Around 300 people selected by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and approved by the German authorities gathered in Beirut early on Tuesday morning and boarded two buses to take them to the airport.
