US peace envoy Indyk meets with Abbas in Jordan

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met in Jordan with American peace envoy Martin Indyk on Monday, the second meeting in as many days, Israel Radio reported.
During the course of the meeting, Abbas received a telephone call from Indyk’s boss, US Secretary of State John Kerry, who updated the Palestinian leader on the latest in the peace process.
Indyk and Abbas met in Ramallah on Sunday. The American envoy and former ambassador to Israel also sat down with Israeli negotiators over the weekend.
According to Israel Radio, Abbas is due in Kuwait on Monday evening to take part in the Arab League summit scheduled to take place there.
