Generals accompany Sharon on final journeys to Knesset and Sycamore Ranch

Eight IDF generals carried the coffin of former premier Ariel Sharon to the Knesset on Sunday.

Eight IDF generals carried the coffin of former premier Ariel Sharon to the Knesset on Sunday.
The generals were: Maj.- Gen. Danny Efroni, chief military prosecutor; Maj.- Gen. Nimrod Shefer, head of the Planning Directorate; Maj.-Gen. Shai Yaniv, commander of the Military Courts Unit; Maj.-Gen. Kobi Barak, commander of the Technological and Logistics Directorate; Maj.-Gen. Eitan Dangot, coordinator of government activities in the territories; Maj.-Gen. Nitzan Alon, OC Central Command; Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eizenberg, OC Home Front Command; and Maj.-Gen. Yossi Baidatz; Military Colleges commander.
On Monday, eight generals will move the coffin from the Knesset to the funeral ceremony at the Sycamore Ranch in the Negev.
They will include Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ram Rotenberg, and Air Force Commander Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel.
The IDF will hold a ceremony to honor Sharon at Latrun, where the coffin will stop en route to the Negev. The ceremony will be attended by IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz and military brass.
