Palestinians say 2 injured by IDF fire near Hebron

Reports suggest that two men in their twenties being treated in Hebron hospital; IDF says it reacted after they tried to break through checkpoint.

Palestinians on Sunday reported that two workers in their twenties were injured by IDF fire south of Hebron.
The IDF released a statement saying that the two men broke through an IDF checkpoint and soldiers shot at their car, after they had carried out the regular procedures.

According to the Palestinian reports, the two men were treated at a Hebron hospital.
The circumstances of the incident were still not clear.
On Saturday, Palestinian sources in Gaza reported one man was killed and two were seriously injured due to an explosion east of Gaza city.
The injured were evacuated to Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
There were contradicting reports on the cause of the explosion.  Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported that a Hamas-affiliated website said an Israeli drone fired on the men, which it also identified as stone collectors. The website later changed its report saying the blast was caused by an unexploded ordnance.
IDF officials denied involvement in the attack and estimated that the blast was caused by an unsuccessful attempt to fire a rocket at Israel which backfired causing the injuries.
