Netanyahu: Schalit deal done, time to get back to routine

Speaking at weekly cabinet meeting, PM says socioeconomic changes to lower cost of living will dominate gov't's time in coming weeks.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday thanked government ministers for their part in approving the deal to bring IDF soldier Gilad Schalit back to Israel.
Speaking at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said that the last two weeks in which the government was working to secure the release of Schalit were "out of the ordinary," but now it was time to "continue to work hard at the many challenges facing us and get back to routine."
Netanyahu stated that his government had succeeded in carrying out a number of different revolutions:
"A revolution in education, of which we are already seeing the positive results, a revolution in infrastructures, in transportation, and in roads and highways in the Negev and the Galilee, and a revolution in economics and welfare."

The prime minister stated that after the government's approval of the Trajtenberg Committee's recommendations two weeks ago, in the coming weeks decisions would be made that would lower the costs of various items.
"The socioeconomic revolution will lower the price of the cost of living," Netanyahu stated. "A great deal of the government's work will be devoted to this issue in the next two weeks," he added.
