The bill's proposal argues that in many Muslim countries there are clear restrictions on noise levels, and "some countries have almost entirely prohibited the use of loudspeaker systems in mosques."
The Knesset would first seek to appoint a six-member panel with the support of 80 MKs, though the revisions also allow the commission to operate with as few as three members.
