'Labor, Meretz, Hadash best on social issues'

Activists ranked Labor the best party on social issues, followed by Hadash, in
the Social Team Ranking, while Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was the
lowest-ranked party leader.
The Forum for Social Justice, comprised of
activists from the 2011 tent protests, ranked lawmakers based on their activity
in the outgoing Knesset.
The party ranking has three parameters: The
parties’ platforms, the social activities of their leader and the average
ranking of their MKs.
Some of the activities that count toward points are
working to shrink economic gaps, reduce poverty, increase the government’s
responsibility to citizens, help the periphery and get rid of contract
work.
The ranking also takes into account the size of a party, giving
smaller ones a boost in points.
Labor leads the ranking with 42.31
points, followed by Hadash with 19.23, and their leaders also top the
list.
Labor chairwoman Shelly Yacimovich has 46.75 points, and Hadash
chairman Muhammad Barakei has 19.23.
Likud Beytenu has the lowest
ranking, with -25 points, and Netanyahu is the party leader with the fewest
points, - 31.25.
Bayit Yehudi is the second-lowest ranked,
with -24.52 points, but party leader Naftali Bennett is not ranked, because he
did not serve in the outgoing Knesset.
Meretz is the party whose MKs have
the highest average ranking at 38.42 points, while Likud Beytenu’s lawmakers
have the lowest average with -1.38.
