Team Israel Lacrosse is currently competing in the  quadrennial World Lacrosse Championships in Denver. Several of the players, however, were unable to travel to Denver as they are needed in the IDF, as Israel's Operation Protective Edge continues in Gaza.

Israel Head Coach Bill Beroza says they are praying "for the folks back home," and that some members of the team returned to Israel to be with their families.

Israel was set to face Ireland on the lacrosse pitch on Monday.
