Mediation in the dispute between the Hadassah Medical Organization and oncologists who resigned in protest of management policies and behavior will continue on Sunday.

The parents of the children with cancer – who continue to back up the six physicians who resigned, who are led by Prof. Michael Weintraub, former head of the pediatric hemato-oncology unit at Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem. However, the parents acceded to the request of mediator and retired Supreme Court justice Elyakim Rubinstein to halt their hunger strike on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, Rubinstein presented details on the mediation, which is being held in the Supreme Court building, to the three-member High Court of Justice panel that ordered the two sides to accept the process. He will again report to the court on Sunday at 4 p.m. on any progress.
