It is an international camp, bringing children aged 7 to 17 from around the world to live and learn together in a bi-lingual (English and Hebrew) camp environment. Kimama has provided quality educational programming every summer since 2004.
Kimama have a number of camps both in and out of Israel. Our main sites in Israel are our Michmoret, Carmel and Hof camps, which are all ideally located directly on the beautiful Mediterranean beaches of Israel. Our camps in Israel range from 1 – 2 weeks and offer a range of exciting and educational tracks which our campers can choose to take part in. Some of our most popular tracks include Sports in conjunction with the Wingate Institute, Dog Training in conjunction with the IDF Oketz unit, Our Chef Track in conjunction with the Israeli Food Network Channel and our selection of Water sport tracks too.
In addition, to our camps in Israel, we offer yearly international camps such as our Skimama trips which sees groups of Kimama campers travelling to countries such as Italy and Austria to experience firsthand Skiing and Snowboarding.
Besides Kimama's international camps, Kimama has experience working with youths of different socio-economic backgrounds,  as well as partnering with organizations such as “Friends by Nature” in order to bring children of Ethiopian descent from Gadera and Rehovot each summer to experience overnight summer camp.
Additionally, Kimama has partnered for several years with Orr Shalom to run special camp sessions for their youth at risk from all across Israel during Passover, Sukkot and summer holidays.
The benefits of overnight camps are well known. By attending a one week or two-week session at Camp Kimama, our campers will have all the direct added benefits of overnight camps, such as the opportunity to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence, build social skills, gain new friends from all over the world and have fun like children should each summer vacation.
The staff at Kimama is made up of committed educators and youth movement graduates. The average ages of counselors are 24 and have extensive background and experience in informal education with youth.  Most counselors are college students or recruits from the Jewish Agency emissary program to North American summer camps. Kimama is proud to have a very high rate of returning staff each year. In addition we have a psychologist and paramedic on call at all times.
