marketed together with the Bat Yam Municipality for 42 apartments in the Ashdar Tower project, open sales of apartments in the Ashdar Tower project to the general public began this week. The Ashdar Tower project will have 164 housing units in a building that will be one of the tallest residential towers in the city of Bat Yam, with 34 floors. This is the fourth tower that Ashdar is building at the Gan Ha’Ir site, a residential project surrounding a spacious park near the Bat Yam boardwalk, which stretches as far as the Herzliya beach.
The project’s cornerstone was laid at a gala event held by Ashdar this weekend, in the presence of many guests, including the owners of Ashtrom Group, Ashdar’s management, project architect Gil Shenhav, from Canaan Shenhav Architects Ltd., Nati Lerner, deputy director general for development at the Bat Yam Municipality, and buyers of the apartments in the project.
The project apartments – 3-5 room apartments and 5-6 room penthouses – are being offered for sale starting from NIS 1.59 million for an 89-square meter three-room apartment with a 14-square meter balcony. The starting price for a 110-square meter four-room apartment with a 12-square meter balcony is NIS 1.72 million, and the starting price for a five-room apartment is NIS 2.1 million. The project’s prestigious penthouse, with an area of 235-square meters and a 59-square meter balcony, will be offered for sale for NIS 5.35 million.
The tower is built to the highest specifications, with air conditioning systems for all the apartments, a designer lobby with a six-meter ceiling, a doorman’s post with closed-circuit television, a room for the residents’ use, underground parking, and other amenities. Most of the apartments overlook the park and have a sea view. The project was designed by Gil Shenhav of Canaan Shenhav Architects, who also serves as the Chairman of the Israeli Skyscrapers Forum and Tel Aviv city representative on the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
“As a seafront town, Bat Yam is one of the most attractive locations for people from the city and elsewhere who are seeking better homes. It is also a highly desirable location for Israeli and foreign investors,” says Rachel Brizel, Vice President Marketing at Ashdar. “Ashdar considers Bat Yam as one of the most attractive cities in terms of demand in the Israeli residential market, which is why the company decided to initiate its development activity in it.”
Gil Shenhav of Canaan Shenhav Architects says, “The Ashdar Tower put the last touches to Gan Ha’Ir, the site that takes Bat Yam to the next level, marking the revolution that the city has undergone in the past ten years. World-class high-quality apartments are part of the city’s routine. The Ashdar Tower can stand honorably alongside towers in Tel Aviv and even in other countries. The meticulousness and attention that Ashdar has devoted to the residential concept in the tower speaks for itself in the intensive marketing that we see. I am personally happy for the opportunity to adorn Bat Yam’s skyline with this very tall building and its uniquely understated design, as befitting a tower with such a presence in the city.”
