'Anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled on shul wall in Canada'

Staff discover swastika, words “Islam Will Rule," on Beth Tikvah Synagogue in Toronto, local media says.

Canadian police on Friday opened an investigation after anti-Semitic graffiti was scrawled on the side of a synagogue in Toronto, according to local media.
Staff discovered a swastika and the words “Islam Will Rule," on the Beth Tikvah Synagogue Thursday afternoon, Toronto's City News said.

“We have been in close contact with police to ensure that immediate measures are being enacted to strengthen Beth Tikvah’s security, as well as Jewish community institutions in general,” Shimon Fogel, CEO of the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy (CIJA) said in a statement.
“We know that this outrageous act will be condemned by Canadian Muslims and members of all faith communities who share our commitment to security, peace, and respect for all faiths,” he continued.
